How to price your items to sell with trendy trades:
Clothing Brands- 30-40% of Retail
When it comes to fashion, today's savvy shoppers are drawn to premium brands that sell typically for $4-$12. Some brands include:
Carters
Gymboree
Nike
Under Armour
Janie & Jack
Hanna Andersson
Lilly Pulitzer
Ralph Lauren
Crazy 8
While discount labels are still popular, they have a lower resale value. Sale price is typically $4-$7. Some brands include:
Carter’s
OshKosh
The Children’s Place
Old Navy
Target
H&M
Amazon brands
As for other budget-friendly options that you might have, such as Target and similar retailers, it's important to inspect these carefully—they often don’t meet the $3 per item minimum resale threshold, so pick your items wisely and make the best choices!
Clothing Sets: $6 - $25+
Why not bundle up some pieces to create a stylish set? Pairing items like two cute shirts, a matching top and bottom, or even a cozy sweater with leggings makes for an irresistible deal. Sets offer shoppers more value—and who doesn’t love a great combo? Plus, sets tend to sell faster than single items, making them a win-win for both you and the shoppers!
Outdoor Toys - 50% of retail price
Big playtime favorites like kitchens and playhouses (think Little Tykes) are the one exception to our usual pricing rule. These fun indoor/outdoor toys are always in high demand, so you can expect to get sell items for up to 50% of the original retail price!
TOYS: 30-40% of retail
They're the big stars of the show, so pick these items wisely as they are crowd favorites, earning you the most cash and flying off the shelves in no time. Typically the items sell for 30-40% of retail!
Done your research and still not sure how to price your items?
No worries! Take a little time to check out similar options online. Check sites like FB marketplace, Craigslist, or eBay (look at completed listings) to see what similar items are selling for, or pop over to Target for retail prices. Just a heads-up,Amazon can be tricky, since their prices often fluctuate based on supply and demand so that they can be way off at times! A suggestion is if you can’t recall what you spent to mark it 30%-40% of the purchased price, you can also ask in our FB group!
We know it’s still helpful to see numbers, so here are some guidelines based on everyday brands.
